Step 1

Location Confirmation

We verify and find the grave even with limited details, such as only the name on the headstone. If we need to coordinate with the cemetery for clarification, we do so.

If we cannot locate the grave, you get a full refund.

Step 2

Initial Inspection

The specialist documents:

  • The condition of the stone
  • Buildup (lichen, moss, minerals)
  • Cracks, shifts, or structural risks
  • Overgrowth or debris around the plot

Before any work is done, photos are always taken to show the current state.

Step 3

Safe, Established Cleaning Methods

Our caretakers are trained in-house in safe grave-care techniques. We use:

  • Non-acidic, biodegradable cleaners
  • Soft brushes and hand tools
  • No bleach
  • No power washers
  • No metal tools

Our methods follow widely accepted cemetery preservation standards.

Step 4

Deeper Work (If Needed)

  • Lichen and moss removal
  • Brightening dull stone
  • Improving inscription visibility
  • Gentle edging / border clearing
  • Minor leveling (if safe)

We always explain the practical limitations if a stone is fragile and cannot be fully restored.

Step 5

Honest Before-&-After Photo Report

You receive:

  • Clear before photos
  • Clear after photos
  • Notes from the caretaker

Photo-proof guarantee: We never edit or retouch photos.

Step 6

  • Scheduled maintenance every season
  • Photo proof after every visit
