Tending (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our mobile application or website.

We collect the following categories of personal and technical information:

• Personal Information: name, phone number, email, home address.
• Deceased Information: name, birth and death dates, cemetery name, gravestone type, photos/videos, and other shared details.
• Media Files: uploaded photos and videos of gravestones, deceased individuals, or users.
• Geolocation data from your device (with permission).
• Payment Information: collected and processed securely via Stripe (we do not store your payment details).
• Communication Data: chat transcripts, voice messages, call recordings with representatives.
• Device Information: IP address, device model, OS version, language, screen resolution.
• Cookies and Analytics Data: gathered via Google Firebase, Meta Ads, and other tools.

Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically collect:

• Events: first_open, session_start, app_update, app_remove, user_engagement, in_app_purchase, ecommerce_purchase.
• Properties: app version, device model, OS, language, screen resolution, advertising identifiers (IDFA/GAID), app-instance ID.
• Behavior: screen transitions, time spent, user properties (e.g., subscription type).

We use your information to:

• Process orders for gravestone restoration and care.
• Provide subscription services and customer support.
• Contact you regarding updates, appointments, or changes.
• Send photo/video reports.
• Analyze app usage and improve functionality.
• Deliver personalized content and targeted ads (if you consent).
• Share essential order details (without personal identity) with local contractors for fulfillment.

If we process data of users protected under the GDPR, our legal bases include user consent, contractual necessity, and legitimate interest in providing and improving our services.

We may share limited data with:

• Stripe for secure payment processing.
• CRM providers to manage user interactions.
• Firebase (Google) for analytics, engagement, and crash reporting.
• Meta and advertising partners for retargeting and performance marketing.
• Service contractors only for order fulfillment and only with essential, non-personal information.

All vendors sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs). We do not transfer data outside of the United States.

All data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS). Access is restricted to authorized personnel only. We use authentication, encryption, and partner with SOC 2 / ISO 27001-certified providers.

You may request deletion of your personal data:

• Through the “Delete Account” option in the app
• Or by contacting privacy@tending.app

We respond to such requests within 10 business days.

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If discovered, we will delete such data immediately.

We retain your data until you request deletion. Limited information may be kept in system backups temporarily but will be erased in regular backup cycles.

We use cookies and tracking technologies for:

• Analytics and performance improvement
• Personalized content
• Retargeting through ad platforms (e.g., Meta, Google)

Users may control or opt out of cookies via browser or device settings.

Our website or app may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.

If you reside in California, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
